For a few short summer months a rainbow of color borders the stand.  A half acre of cut flowers catches the eye of those driving past for the months of July, August and into September.  Many look forward to the Cut Your Own Flowers that are available starting in late July through frost in September.  The focus of our flower garden is on annuals in a multitude of colors, shapes and sizes.  Customers who wish to cut their own are equipped with scissors and a bucket of water and can cut as many or as few as they want.  Flowers are “food for the soul” and many come back week after week to satisfy their appetite for fresh cut flowers.  Florists, churches, restaurants and do it yourself weddings are frequently cutting their own bouquets.  It is strongly recommended weddings call ahead for best cutting times.

Gourmet Foods & Bakery

The delightful aromas that waft from the kitchen fan tempt most for that fresh baked cookie, whoopie pie or muffin.  Fresh baked and scratch made our baked goods fill the shelves daily including luscious brownies, sweet breads, muffins, four kinds of cookies, dinner rolls and during fruit season buttermilk biscuits.  Homemade desserts such as bread pudding, chocolate kahlua mousse, chocolate lava cakes, and crème brulees are available frequently.  In the cool weather months homemade soups and stews are available hot and from the cooler.  Phyllis’ famous baked beans are in stock daily.  Heat and serve meals such as Carol’s homemade lasagna, shepherd’s pie, baked pasta, meatballs and marinara fill our cooler.  In the summer months when the season’s vegetables are plentiful fresh made garden salads, Caesar salads, potato salad and pasta salad fly from the shelves.  During the holidays we can help with your holiday meal when you order from our holiday offerings.
